There are four towns nearby. Each with their unique shops and restaurants. Carrabelle is to the east and is the closest. To the west are Eastpoint, St. George Island and Apalachicola.

In Carrabelle be sure to visit the Smallest Police Station in the country. While there, treat yourself to lunch at The Junction, a coffee house, ice cream parlor, sandwich shop all in one that exudes the small town’s charm. For breakfast try Two Bro’s, on the left before the bridge into Carrabelle. Heading west for breakfast try The Point or El Jalisco, both in East Point, both very good.

From Eastpoint take the 4 mile bridge to St. George Island, or the John Gorrie Bridge to Apalachicola. St. George Island is a small resort town. Apalachicola is the largest town in the area. While there is a Burger King in Apalachicola, the nearest town with your typical chain stores is Crawfordville, an hour to the North East.
